1st Annual Young Men’s Conference held by the Adonai Center for Black Males

I am honored to be hosting a session for the Adonai Center for Black Males’ First Annual Young Men’s Conference.  On May 18, 2011 at 9am, over 350 high school black males will come together at Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh, PA to take part in the conference.

This conference, solely produced and planned by the students of the Power Wednesdays Male-Mentoring Program at Westinghouse, bears the theme “He’s Not Heavy, He’s My Brother” based on them learning and valuing a deeper need for the unity and leadership of black men.

The Adonai Center for Black Males is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the human capital values of black males and transform them into catalysts for positive political, social, and economic change.

Minorities in Pittsburgh Conference

I will be participating on January 29-30, 2010 in the MIP Conference alongside Rob Biko Baker (Executive Director, League of Young Voters) and Joshua Fahiym Rattcliffe (Former Editor-in-Chief, Source Magazine). The topic of the panel will be Creative Careers. This conference is held by the Roberto Clemente Minority Business Association of the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business Administration.
